Preview in Seoul (PIS) 2026 opened on the 19th at Hall A of COEX and The Platz in Seoul's Gangnam district, bringing together 526 firms from 12 countries across 784 booths. The exhibition, organized by the Korea Federation of Textile Industries (KOFOTI), runs through the 21st and includes 267 domestic firms and 259 overseas firms, with Chinese companies accounting for the largest overseas contingent at 223. Products and technologies range from yarn, fabric, knits and trims to eco-friendly fibers, advanced functional materials, artificial intelligence and digital solutions. About 200 invited overseas buyers, including officials from Ralph Lauren, Lululemon and Lacoste and major vendors, are holding sourcing talks with domestic materials companies. North American and European buyers account for 51% of the total, while buyers from Japan, Vietnam and other Asian markets represent 47.5%. Advance consultations booked through the Business Matching System (BMS) reached about 1,360, up 18% from a year earlier, with a matching rate of about 50%. KOFOTI Chairman Choi Byung-oh identified cooperation and connection as the event's central theme and called for innovation to help domestic firms address AI-driven digital transformation, sustainability requirements, U.S. tariff-policy volatility and tighter European carbon-neutrality and eco-design rules.
