The tokenized-equities market has reached roughly $2.8 billion across 3,374 assets, after crossing $1 billion around March 2026 and roughly doubling by mid-July. Ethereum holds 49% of market capitalization, followed by Solana at 23% and BNB Chain at 22%, giving the three networks a combined 94% share. Ondo leads platforms by distributed value at nearly $871 million, ahead of xStocks at around $571 million and bStocks at approximately $567 million. Separately, xStocks led tokenized-stock issuers in weekly market-capitalization growth with a $17.3 million increase, followed by Ondo Finance at $10 million, Superstate at $3.9 million and Robinhood at $3.3 million. Monthly transfer volumes have exceeded $22 billion to $25 billion and holders have surpassed one million. Alphabet-linked GOOGL tokens added $33.4 million in aggregate market capitalization over the same week, with Backed.fi’s Solana-based GOOGLX approaching $36 million and Ondo’s GOOGLon reaching about $21 million. Tokenized equities are blockchain-based representations of equity ownership or exposure, generally backed 1:1 by shares held in custody; they track underlying prices, may pass through dividends depending on the platform, enable fractional purchases and can trade continuously, settle in minutes and connect to decentralized finance. Holders generally lack voting rights and formal beneficial ownership. Blockworks data separately reports $9 billion in 2026 onchain tokenized-equity volume year-to-date, up 800% from roughly $1 billion at the start of the year, while another report records $11.3 billion in July alone. These figures represent a reported discrepancy or revision rather than a reconciled total. About 55% of activity occurred outside regular U.S. market hours, while regulation remains developing and some platforms exclude U.S. persons or require accredited-investor status.
