Anthropic is preparing to file for its IPO as early as late this month, aiming for a post-listing valuation of $2 trillion to break SpaceX's record. The Claude AI developer has reported second-quarter revenue topping $11.5 billion, up 1,361% from a year earlier, with its annualized revenue run rate reaching $65 billion by late July. It previously raised $65 billion at a $965 billion valuation in May and posted a net loss of about $42 billion last year but achieved positive adjusted operating profit in the second quarter. Underwriters for the listing include Morgan Stanley, Goldman Sachs, JPMorgan Chase and Citi. The company is weighing super-voting shares to retain control for CEO Dario Amodei and co-founders and has signed a deal with SpaceX to supply computing resources potentially worth tens of billions of dollars over the next three years. If the offering exceeds SpaceX's $86.2 billion raise including overallotment, it would set a record for U.S. IPO volume.
