Also raised a $150 million Series D led by Prysm Capital, with existing backers Eclipse, Greenoaks and MVP Ventures participating, bringing the micromobility startup's stated total funding to $455 million since its founding. The company, which spun out of Rivian in 2025, is using the capital to accelerate autonomous-driving technology and develop multiple autonomous vehicle form factors based on the electric architecture used in its consumer pedal-assist bike and commercial delivery quads. Also previously raised $200 million in a Greenoaks-led round that included Prysm Capital and a strategic investment from DoorDash, which also signed a multiyear agreement to develop and deploy autonomous delivery vehicles. Rivian retains a minority stake, while founder and CEO RJ Scaringe serves on Also's board. The company has begun shipping its delayed Launch Edition TM-B e-bike and expects initial deliveries of its performance and standard models in fall.
