EquipmentShare.com Inc. (NASDAQ: EQPT) and UWM Holdings Corporation (NYSE: UWMC) face separate proposed investor class actions announced August 19, 2026. The EquipmentShare complaint, Parra v. EquipmentShare.com, alleges undisclosed related-party transactions involving founder-controlled EZ Equipment Zone, Bevel Financial and Armada Fleet Management, including fees allegedly funneled through EquipmentShare's OWN program. EquipmentShare sold 30.5 million Class A shares at $24.50 in its January 2026 IPO before shares fell to $19.69 on June 25 after an Umibozu Research report alleged founder-affiliated entities received at least $77 million through undisclosed transactions. The UWM complaint alleges that the mortgage lender departed from its practice of not hedging Mortgage Servicing Rights, or MSRs, over-hedged ahead of its planned $1.3 billion all-stock acquisition of Two Harbors Investment Corp., and incurred substantial derivative losses after the transaction ended. UWM reported a $603.2 million second-quarter loss on interest-rate derivatives and a $451.9 million net loss; its shares fell 34.78% to $1.20 on August 6. The UWM allegations also concern a recapitalization plan that the newer investigation described as significantly diluting existing shareholders. The EquipmentShare lead-plaintiff deadline is September 21, 2026, and the UWM deadline is October 13, 2026; neither class has been certified.
