Base, Coinbase's Ethereum layer-2 network, has opened applications for Base Batches 004, its accelerator for the 2026 fall cohort, with submissions due Sept. 9. The program, run with the Base Ecosystem Fund, offers selected early-stage teams building on the network a $100,000 investment offer subject to due diligence, eight weeks of hands-on support and a Demo Day in New York in November. Base is seeking pre-seed projects ranging from pre-product founders with founder-market fit to post-MVP teams that have not yet raised a formal seed round, provided Base is their preferred network and they are focused on expanding the on-chain economy in areas such as trading, payments, agents and financing. Participants will also receive mentorship, weekly operational help, access to cross-functional experts, content exposure and investor introductions. Earlier program details said Batches 004 would take 10 teams after Batch 003 selected 12 startups from more than 1,100 applicants in April 2026 and later presented in San Francisco.
