South Korea will extend anti-hoarding rules covering automotive urea solution, urea, and medical syringes and needles through October 31. For urea solution and urea, the storage threshold will rise from 150% to 200% of the previous year's average monthly sales volume, although inventory above the threshold may not be held for more than seven days. The change reflects improved supply conditions after China relaxed its urea export controls. The syringe and needle restrictions will continue with the existing 200% threshold, while petroleum-product restrictions and a maximum price system remain in effect through the 12th of next month.
