DB HiTek, Korea's leading pure-play 8-inch foundry, will participate in electronica India 2026 in Bengaluru from September 16 to 18, marking its first appearance at the South Asia electronics trade show. The company plans to present its BCD process, which combines analog, digital and high-voltage power devices on one chip, along with silicon carbide (SiC) and gallium nitride (GaN) power semiconductor technologies. Its BCD process has reached cumulative wafer deliveries of 9 million units and is being extended into automotive and industrial applications. DB HiTek recently completed process qualification for a 1,200-volt SiC MOSFET and plans to complete qualification for a 650-volt GaN process by December, with strategic-customer performance evaluations underway. The company will also showcase specialty CMOS image sensor processes, including X-ray, Global Shutter and SPAD, as well as mixed-signal and RF processes. The Indian expansion reflects efforts to diversify beyond customers concentrated in South Korea and East Asia as government support and investment expand the country's semiconductor ecosystem. DB HiTek is seeking mid- to long-term demand and early relationships with Indian fabless companies rather than an immediate revenue contribution.
