Germany’s producer prices rose 3.0% year-on-year in July 2026, extending growth to a fourth consecutive month and marking the fastest increase since April 2023. The result exceeded both June’s 1.8% rise and market expectations of 2.7%. Intermediate goods prices increased 5.4%, energy prices climbed 3.8%, capital goods rose 2.3% and durable consumer goods advanced 2.0%, supported by higher machinery and motor-vehicle prices. Non-durable consumer goods fell 2.3%. Excluding energy, producer prices increased 2.7%. On a monthly basis, prices rose 1.1%, reversing June’s 0.3% decline, beating the 0.7% forecast and recording the fastest monthly increase in three months.
