Mitrade EU Ltd has appointed Timur Konsky as CEO to lead its next phase of European retail-trading growth. During the first seven months of 2026, the wider Mitrade Group increased active trading clients by more than half and total traded lots by 148.4% from the same period in 2025. Konsky brings more than two decades of European fintech experience and said the company will use direct feedback from traders and product, compliance and customer teams to adapt its offering market by market. Mitrade EU will initially prioritize Germany before expanding elsewhere in Europe. The appointment comes as European policymakers seek broader retail participation in capital markets while strengthening investor protection, and as providers of CFDs (contracts for difference, leveraged trading instruments) face greater scrutiny over retail distribution. In a 2026 coordinated supervisory action, CySEC (Cyprus financial regulator) will examine conflicts of interest involving digital platforms, employee remuneration and investment-product distribution. Mitrade says 80% of retail investor accounts lose money when trading CFDs with the provider.
