The combined allocation for balance-payment loans at the DH Bangbae apartment complex has reached ₩1 trillion, or about $722 million, after Hana Bank raised its cap to ₩350 billion from ₩100 billion. KB Kookmin Bank increased its limit to ₩300 billion and cut its rate by 0.1 percentage point, while Shinhan Bank raised its allocation to ₩150 billion and also cut its rate by 0.1 percentage point. Woori Bank and NH NongHyup Bank each remain at ₩100 billion, although the total could rise further. The expansion follows regulators' decision to manage group loans separately from banks' household-loan volume targets and to double the household-loan growth target to 3% from 1.5%. The larger project-level caps do not automatically increase individual borrowers' limits, which continue to reflect collateral values and repayment capacity.
