HippoProtocol’s Hippo Medisafe demonstrated a hospital data security system at KHF 2026, an international hospital and health tech expo hosted by the Korean Hospital Association at COEX in Seoul from Aug. 19 to 21. The dapp encrypts hospital data, distributes backup copies across multiple physical servers in South Korea and records each backup point’s hash value (a unique data fingerprint) on HippoProtocol. The company said data changes can be identified by comparing backup files with the hash values recorded on the blockchain. Hipporcrat Labs CEO Choi Hyun-seop also spoke at a KHF 2026 data track seminar on Aug. 20, presenting an overview of information security at medical institutions and key response measures.
