Cape Verde’s annual inflation rate eased to 0.4% in July 2026 from 1.1% in June, which was a five-month high. Price growth moderated for transportation, clothing and footwear, and alcoholic beverages and tobacco. Prices continued to decline in housing and utilities and in communications. On a monthly basis, the consumer price index rose 0.2%, slowing from a 0.5% increase in June.
