KuCoin announced on Aug. 20 that its artificial intelligence management system, or AIMS, had received ISO/IEC 42001:2023 international certification. The standard is the world’s first international standard for AI management systems and provides an internationally recognized framework for establishing, implementing, maintaining and continually improving such systems. The certification covers KuCoin’s AIMS and related support functions, strengthening the transparent, secure and responsible use of AI across platform operations. As AI becomes more deeply integrated into digital-finance applications including risk control, anti-money laundering, fraud detection, market monitoring, intelligent customer service and platform operations, KuCoin said it is advancing AI innovation alongside trusted governance. The certification adds to a framework that includes ISO/IEC 27001, SOC 2 Type II and ISO 22301, covering information security, operational reliability, business continuity and AI governance.
