Bitdeer AI, the artificial intelligence unit of Bitcoin miner Bitdeer, has signed a five-year offtake agreement worth about $400 million covering close to half the capacity at its new Malaysia data center before the site is fully built. The supply contract is with an undisclosed customer previously described as high credit quality and is expected to generate roughly $400 million in total revenue, with services and related costs previously slated to begin in the first quarter of 2027. Earlier detail tied the booking to about half of the 9.5 MW liquid-cooled A102 facility ahead of energization, while the company is targeting 350 MW of AI cloud capacity by the first quarter of 2028. The offtake structure gives Bitdeer a contracted revenue floor on a large share of the project and shifts demand risk to the buyer, aiding financing for the remainder of the build. Customer identity, the split between fixed and usage-based pricing, and the precise ramp to 2028 remain undisclosed. Bitdeer also holds an active pipeline above $2 billion and earlier in August signed a 16-year, $4.7 billion lease for 121 MW of AI capacity in Norway, as bitcoin traded near $77,500 on August 21, 2026.
