Canary Capital filed Amendment No. 4 to its S-1 registration statement with the U.S. Securities and Exchange Commission (SEC) on Aug. 19 for the proposed Canary Staked TRX ETF. The fund is intended to list on Cboe BXZ Exchange under the ticker TRXS and would provide exposure to TRX, the native token of Justin Sun’s TRON, while seeking staking rewards through the network’s proof-of-stake process. The filing discloses a 1.10% management fee and says up to 90% of the trust’s assets could be staked under normal conditions. It also outlines annual ordinary operating expenses of up to $200,000, no fee waiver and staking fees capped at 20% of rewards, leaving the trust expected to retain 80%. Canary Capital Group plans to purchase 10,000 seed shares at $25 each. The amendment does not mean the ETF has been approved: the separate 19b-4 exchange rule-change process and other regulatory steps remain outstanding. TRX rose nearly 2% in 24 hours to $0.337 as volume increased 75% amid a broader crypto-market recovery. Futures open interest rose more than 5% to $256.12 million over four hours, while traders also weighed a major TVM compatibility upgrade.
