US spot Bitcoin ETFs recorded their strongest weekly inflows in nearly a year, pulling in $1.92 billion in net inflows for the week ending August 22. Every trading day posted positive flows, starting with $297.6 million on Monday and peaking at $606.3 million on Thursday. BlackRock’s iShares Bitcoin Trust (IBIT) captured $503 million on its busiest day, with meaningful contributions from Fidelity’s FBTC, Bitwise’s BITB, and ARK 21Shares’ ARKB. The inflows were supported by US Treasury buyback expansions that lowered yields and short-covering as Bitcoin’s price rose roughly 25% and approached $80,000. Ethereum spot ETFs also received between $693 million and $697 million during the period. Total assets under management for US spot Bitcoin ETFs climbed to approximately $96 billion. This turnaround follows outflows in early 2026 and an eight-week losing streak that ended in July, with the October 2025 record of $2.71 billion in weekly inflows remaining the benchmark to beat.
