MoonPay said on Aug. 21 that eligible U.S. customers can use Cash App Pay and existing Cash App balances to buy digital assets through its checkout. The one-tap integration, which follows MoonPay’s additions of PayPal and Venmo, is available on MoonPay and selected partner services including MetaMask, Trust Wallet, Uniswap and Ledger. The service broadens Cash App’s crypto payment reach beyond its native bitcoin and USDC offering, while supporting purchases such as ether, solana, XRP and USDT through MoonPay. The date was initially reported as Aug. 18 and was later stated as Aug. 21. MoonPay says the expansion links familiar financial applications with the on-chain ecosystem and plans to add more payment access points.
