Starbucks plans to eliminate more than 200 corporate jobs as Chief Executive Brian Niccol continues a strategy to tighten operations two years into the company’s turnaround effort. The Seattle-based company said about 120 technology workers will be affected after declining to relocate to Nashville, where Starbucks is building a new corporate office. An additional 104 positions will be cut in coffeehouse design and development. Starbucks shares fell 1.53%.
