SpaceX has reportedly won more than $8 billion in Golden Dome contracts, representing at least one-third of the program’s allocated budget, for military data satellites and rocket launches. The awards add to billions of dollars in government business secured this year despite lawmakers’ efforts to expand competition. SpaceX is also benefiting from regulatory changes, including a waiver of certain wireless network requirements and proposals to reduce environmental reviews for launches and spaceport development. The company’s government position comes as its stock is down 6.31% on Wall Street and as founder Elon Musk maintains close ties with President Trump.
