Hagens Berman is investigating Photronics, Inc. (NASDAQ: PLAB), while Kaplan Fox & Kilsheimer LLP announced a securities class action filed on behalf of investors who purchased or acquired Photronics securities from Dec. 10, 2025, through May 27, 2026. The complaint alleges that Photronics and its management misled investors about demand, order patterns and the outlook for its high-end integrated circuit (IC) photomask business, including by portraying global demand and healthy orders as a buffer against post-holiday seasonality. The allegations surfaced after the company reported fiscal second-quarter 2026 results on May 28, 2026, with revenue and earnings below internal projections, an 11% sequential decline in IC revenue, compressed operating margins and a seasonal recovery that failed to materialize after the Chinese New Year. The complaint attributes the shortfall to factors including design-release and new-product-launch delays, elevated fab utilization rates, equipment cost pressures and geopolitical uncertainty. Photronics shares fell more than 36% in response, eliminating over $1.1 billion in market capitalization. Investors have until Sept. 4, 2026, to seek lead-plaintiff appointment, although lead-plaintiff status is not required to participate in any potential recovery.
