The US State Department formally notified Congress on July 30 of initial funding support for the planned International Stabilization Force, a key component of President Donald Trump’s 21-point Middle East peace plan. The department did not disclose the amount. The notification followed an agreement announced by Trump’s Board of Peace with Hamas on complete disarmament, phased Israeli withdrawals and cooperation between the force and a new Palestinian police force. Prime Minister Benjamin Netanyahu has rejected the plan, while Hamas says it remains committed to the roadmap. Senior White House adviser Jared Kushner held talks with Hamas officials in Egypt and Netanyahu in Israel alongside Board of Peace envoy Nikolay Mladenov. Mediators are also working to advance a ceasefire that began on Oct. 10, 2025, amid reported Israeli violations that Gaza Health Ministry figures say have killed 1,283 Palestinians and wounded 4,248.
