CITIC Securities reported record first-half results for 2026, with revenue rising 50% year on year to 49.69 billion yuan, or approximately $7.4 billion, and net profit attributable to shareholders climbing 69.60% to 23.34 billion yuan, or approximately $3.5 billion. Net profit excluding non-recurring items increased 73.40% to 23.61 billion yuan, while basic earnings per share reached 1.53 yuan. The company proposed a pre-tax interim dividend of 4.27 yuan per 10 shares, totaling 6.67 billion yuan and marking its third consecutive year of interim payouts. Growth was broad-based, led by securities investment and brokerage, while international operations posted record interim results. CITIC Securities also completed a 16 billion yuan H-share placement to controlling shareholder CITIC Financial Holdings to strengthen CITIC Securities International’s capital base. Fu Xiaotong raised his CITIC Securities holdings to 84.249 million shares by June 30, giving him a 0.57% stake and making him the eighth-largest shareholder. The shareholder count fell by about 77,200 accounts in the second quarter to 639,800. Meanwhile, rival Guotai Haitong surpassed CITIC Securities in total assets during the first half.
