Doosan Enerbility said Friday that it signed a roughly 930 billion won ($683 million) contract to build Oman’s Misfah gas-fired combined-cycle power plant. The South Korean company will work with SEPCO-3 on engineering, procurement and construction and directly supply steam turbines and generators for the 1,700-megawatt facility, located about 20 kilometers west of Muscat and scheduled for completion in April 2029. The project was commissioned by a consortium of Qatar’s Nebras Power, the UAE’s EUDC and Oman’s Bahwan Infrastructure Service. The award follows projects in Qatar, Saudi Arabia, Vietnam and Oman, taking Doosan Enerbility’s cumulative orders over the past two years to 5.74 trillion won, or about $4.1 billion.
