On-chain data show Machi Big Brother turned $152,000 into $12.72 million in three days trading leveraged perpetual futures on Hyperliquid, generating more than $12.5 million in profit despite nearly 500 reported liquidations. The account held about $12.9 million in assets, almost entirely USDC, against roughly $103 million in open long positions: $52.4 million in Bitcoin, $44.9 million in Ether and $6.1 million in HYPE, with a 14.41% margin ratio. Ether’s nearly 30% seven-day gain helped drive the result, while Hyperliquid recorded $12.19 billion in perpetual-futures volume in the 24 hours ending Aug. 22, almost 30% of the $40.79 billion traded across decentralized perpetual exchanges. Other tracked whales also made large moves: a Matrixport-linked trader closed a 40,000 ETH long worth about $100.5 million for roughly $9.9 million in profit while retaining 80,000 ETH and 500 BTC; loracle.hl had lost more than $70 million on HYPE and held a short at risk of liquidation near $101.15; Multicoin Capital transferred about $31.74 million of HYPE to Coinbase Prime; and an anonymous holder sold 7,700 BTC worth an estimated $576.6 million over three days.
