Edelson Lechtzin LLP is investigating potential data privacy claims involving two separately described incidents: a reported, unconfirmed August 2026 attack on Alphanumeric Systems allegedly linked to the Settra hacker group, and a confirmed network security incident involving Apple American Group LLC and Apple American Group II, LLC. Ransomware.live reported on August 19, 2026, that approximately 161 gigabytes of Alphanumeric data may have been exfiltrated in an attack occurring on or about August 4, while Breachsense reported that Settra claimed responsibility. Apple American said an unknown actor accessed certain servers and files between April 8 and April 9, 2026, after suspicious activity was detected on April 9; notification letters were dated August 18, 2026. The Alphanumeric incident had not been confirmed and its scope and information categories remained unclear. Apple American said affected files may have contained information provided during employment and reported no indication of identity theft or fraud connected to that incident. Edelson Lechtzin is evaluating potential class actions and offering confidential, no-cost case reviews. Potentially affected individuals are advised to monitor accounts and credit reports, preserve incident communications, consider fraud alerts, identity monitoring or a credit freeze, and obtain free credit reports.
