Avalanche’s AVAX token rose 5.9% to $7.175 on August 20, reaching $7.317 at its high as trading volume increased and the token moved above the $7 level that had repeatedly capped gains throughout August. The breakout followed growing activity in traditional financial assets on Avalanche, whose combined value has risen above $3 billion from $740 million last October, according to a Delphi Consulting report produced by Delphi Digital. Japan’s Progmat, the country’s largest security-token platform, moved to a dedicated Avalanche network in June, bringing about $1.2 billion in tokenized securities. OpenTrade’s assets on the network grew from about $60 million to $190 million, while Grove Finance contributed another $260 million through products linked to institutional credit. Securitize is working on a European platform using Avalanche to trade and settle tokenized securities across all 27 EU countries. The report noted that the activity spans securities, credit and other financial assets rather than a single product, strengthening Avalanche’s role in bringing traditional finance onto blockchains. Delphi Consulting prepared the report under a paid, fixed-fee engagement with Avalanche; Delphi said payment was not tied to the findings, although some study information came from Avalanche. Holding above $7 could open a move toward $8.60, where the token previously saw heavier trading, while $10 represents a larger test. A fall back below $7 would return AVAX to the range it has struggled to leave since June.
