Arrivals from the Americas decreased 15.2%, while those from Africa and Asia increased 4.2% and 10.4%. Antalya and Istanbul remained Turkey's leading destinations, receiving 35.4% and 27.2% of foreign visitors. Total foreign arrivals for January–July declined 2.3% year-on-year to 27.9 million. Tourism remains a key source of foreign currency and employment, making August arrivals important for determining whether July marked a turning point or a temporary improvement.
