LA28 sold more than 6 million Olympic tickets in its first two sales drops, surpassing half of the expected Olympic ticket availability and putting the Games on pace to exceed Paris 2024's sales record. An estimated 10.5 million remaining Olympic tickets will be offered on a first-come, first-served basis beginning in 2027, with more inventory added as venue layouts and temporary sites are finalized. More than 700,000 of the one million $28 tickets were sold in the first two drops. New sports including softball, lacrosse, flag football and squash sold out their available inventory in the second drop. Paralympic tickets will also go on sale in 2027, with about 25% of the 14 million tickets for both Games earmarked for the Paralympics. Ticketing and hospitality are expected to contribute almost $2.5 billion toward LA28's privately funded $7.1 billion budget.
