The US Commodity Futures Trading Commission, or CFTC (US derivatives regulator), is working with the Commerce Department to help the United States secure leadership in the global artificial intelligence computing market. CFTC Commissioner Mike Selig said the agency is cooperating with the department while reviewing markets for trading computing resources and the related regulatory framework. The CFTC expects those markets to become more important as the AI industry expands.
