Blackstone and Hellman & Friedman have formed a roughly 160-person team of artificial-intelligence experts with Anthropic to help deploy AI across businesses, beginning with their own portfolio companies. The effort extends private-equity firms' traditional playbook of cutting costs, restructuring operations and increasing revenue. It is part of a $1.5 billion joint venture between Anthropic and Wall Street firms, with Apollo, General Atlantic and Goldman Sachs also among the backers.
