OpenAI announced a limited-time price reduction for its GPT-5.6 Sol model API and credits, valid at least until November 21. Standard short-context API pricing is now $4 per 1 million input tokens and $20 per 1 million output tokens, down from $5 and $30. Long-context pricing is $8 per 1 million input tokens and $30 per 1 million output tokens, down from $10 and $60. The updated API rates are now in effect, with credits for ChatGPT Work and Codex adjusting sequentially. Plus, Pro and Business subscription allowances remain unchanged. This marks the first round of price adjustments for all three GPT-5.6 models after earlier cuts to Terra and Luna.
