Amazon has raised prices across much of its first-party hardware lineup, including Echo smart speakers, Kindle readers, Fire TV streaming devices and eero networking systems, as AI infrastructure demand tightens memory-chip supplies. The base Echo Dot rose 60%, from $49.99 to $79.99, while the 16-gigabyte Kindle increased by $40 to $149.99. Other affected products include the Echo Show 11, Kindle Paperwhite, Fire TV sticks and eero systems; Ring prices remain unchanged. Amazon said it had absorbed rising memory and storage costs for as long as possible. The increases come as DRAM prices, AI data-center spending and cloud demand rise, with supply constraints expected to persist through 2026 and into 2027.
