Basecat, a meme coin on Base, briefly surpassed a $36 million market capitalization after being included on Coinbase's listing roadmap. Its market cap later stood at about $33 million, while the token was up more than 260% on the day, according to GMGN data cited by Odaily. Odaily warned that meme coin prices can be highly volatile and urged investors to remain alert to the risks.
