Solana regained $100 for the first time in about six months after rising about 30% in four days. SOL climbed above that level on Binance's Tether market on Aug. 21, trading at $103, up 15% from the previous day and roughly 30% above its Aug. 18 level near $77. The move ended about six and a half months below $100, following an intraday drop under the threshold on Feb. 3 and a slide to around $60 in June. Sentiment was supported by expectations for crypto-friendly U.S. government policy, including President Donald Trump's statement that the government would pursue additional Bitcoin purchases, as well as the U.S. Treasury's plan to expand long-term bond buybacks. Expectations for lower Treasury yields and greater market liquidity spread from Bitcoin to major altcoins, including Solana. U.S. spot Solana ETFs recorded about $10.26 million in net inflows in the week ended Aug. 14, roughly 70 times the previous week's level. Network-performance expectations also improved after Solana mainnet (the network's primary blockchain) reduced its target slot time to 350 milliseconds from 400 milliseconds on Aug. 19.
