XRP rose more than 50% over the past week to about $1.51, outperforming Bitcoin’s 23.6% gain, and surpassed BNB by market capitalization to reclaim the No. 4 position among all cryptocurrencies, according to CoinNess market monitoring. CoinMarketCap previously put XRP’s market capitalization at about $94.7 billion, versus roughly $92.6 billion for BNB, while BankXRP cited approximately $94 billion. Excluding Tether (USDT), a dollar-pegged stablecoin, XRP ranks third. The valuation has exceeded Belarus’ estimated 2025 GDP and reportedly moved above Intercontinental Exchange. Open interest increased from roughly $2.3 billion to $3.56 billion, while large holders reportedly accumulated about 190 million XRP in one day. In Germany, XRP gains are tax-free only after a holding period of more than one year, potentially limiting the tax benefit for investors with recent realized gains. The rally’s sustainability depends on spot-market demand rather than leverage alone.
