Harmony (ONE) has completed a rollback of its Layer-1 blockchain after an exploit enabled attackers to counterfeit ONE tokens, saying the network is operating normally. The chain was restored to a checkpoint recorded at 11:25 p.m. UTC on Aug. 11, discarding 109,126 regular transactions and 315 staking transactions finalized afterward. Harmony said its two shards operated stably for more than 24 hours, generated about 100,000 blocks and advanced from epoch 3002 to 3004, while validator block-signing participation returned to near-normal levels. Validators are using a replacement database to produce blocks from the next available height, but Harmony has not separately disclosed how assets and transaction histories in the discarded transactions will be handled.
