Vanda Pharmaceuticals said its NEREUS-branded No. 47 Honda, entered by Rahal Letterman Lanigan Racing and driven by Mick Schumacher, will compete in the inaugural Freedom 250 Grand Prix of Washington, D.C., on August 22–23, 2026. The race is the first NTT INDYCAR SERIES event on the National Mall and will use a 1.7-mile, seven-turn temporary street circuit near the Washington Monument, U.S. Capitol and other landmarks. Practice and qualifying are scheduled for Saturday, followed by a 147-lap, approximately 250-mile race on Sunday afternoon, broadcast live on FOX. NEREUS (tradipitant), an oral NK-1 receptor antagonist, is FDA-approved to prevent motion-induced vomiting in adults and is described as the first new U.S. prescription medication approved for that indication in 47 years. The sponsorship links the Washington-based company's focus on performance and stability with IndyCar racing and marks a home event for Vanda.
