Thiel Macro LLC, affiliated with Peter Thiel, reported eight stock holdings worth $418.7 million as of June 30 in its latest 13F filing with the SEC. Amazon was the only technology position and the largest holding at $118 million, or 28.2% of the portfolio. The fund’s other six disclosed positions were concentrated in electricity generation, distribution and nuclear power, led by Vista Energy at 18.1% and Vistra at 14.1%. American Electric Power, DTE Energy, FirstEnergy, CMS Energy and X-Energy made up the remainder. The filing showed no holdings in either of the prior two quarters, suggesting a renewed focus on electricity as a potential bottleneck for artificial-intelligence infrastructure. Amazon has raised its 2026 capital spending plan to $220 billion, largely for cloud and AI infrastructure. Thiel Macro submitted the filing on Aug. 14, but its positions may have changed since the June 30 snapshot.
