Meta is expanding its coding-focused generative AI offerings through Muse Code, an AI agent for software development, and Muse Spark 1.2 Contributor. Contributor uses the same model and capabilities as the standard version, but users permit Meta to use their inputs and outputs to train models and improve products. OpenRouter lists it at $0.10 per million input tokens, $0.20 per million output tokens and $0.002 per million cached input tokens, compared with $1.25, $4.25 and $0.15 for standard Muse Spark 1.2; its output price is about 95% lower. More broadly, Meta says its coding AI costs about 80% less in token usage than Anthropic's Claude Opus 5, with an additional discount of more than 90% for customers sharing usage data, potentially approaching DeepSeek pricing. Availability includes OpenCode Zen, Command Code, Vercel AI Gateway and NanoGPT. Performance remains below Anthropic's high-end models, and testing has raised reliability and security concerns.
