USDC’s circulating supply rose by approximately 800 million during the seven days ending August 20, official data shows. Circle issued about 7.5 billion USDC and redeemed approximately 6.7 billion. Total circulating supply reached 72.7 billion, backed by roughly $72.9 billion in reserves. The reserve pool included about $48.1 billion in overnight reverse repos, $12.7 billion in Treasury bonds maturing in less than three months, $11.4 billion in deposits from systemically important institutions, and $700 million in other bank deposits.
