Secret Network executed a one-time mint of 1.079 billion SCRT on Aug. 21, 2026, after Proposal 365 passed to keep the Cosmos-based layer 1 operating beyond SCRT Labs’ Sept. 1 support cutoff. The mint occurred as a finalize-block upgrade event at block 26,790,327, without a normal user transaction or mint transaction hash. The network subsequently reached block 26,806,270 on software version 1.26.0, confirming that the upgrade ran and block production continued. The mint brought the live supply to 1.44346 billion SCRT, including the actual pre-upgrade balance and continuing inflation, and reduced existing holders’ collective share to roughly one quarter of the total. Allocations included 299 million SCRT each for foundation and core-development programs, 178 million for an ecosystem fund, 72 million each for advisors, research and development, and validators, 43 million for builders and relayers, and 44 million for remediation. The v1.26 economics made 308.4 million SCRT liquid on day one and set ongoing inflation at 5%. Voters separately rejected Proposal 360, which would have authorized an Arbitrum snapshot with specified eligibility exclusions. SCRT Labs said it would end development and related support on Sept. 1 regardless of the vote, leaving long-term maintenance dependent on validators and community backers.
