Ethereum could climb toward $20,000 over the next few years if it breaks a multi-year trading range and closes its performance gap with Bitcoin, technical analyst Credible Crypto argued, while Bitmine chairman and Fundstrat co-founder Tom Lee has predicted that within ten years Ethereum will dominate blockchain infrastructure for tokenization and artificial intelligence. Speaking on the Bankless podcast, Lee said Fundstrat and Bitmine are placing major bets on that outcome, stating they are “betting everything” that tokenization and AI will happen on Ethereum, and citing its leading smart-contract developer ecosystem, active decentralized applications, DeFi total value locked and general-purpose design for tokenized assets and AI use cases. Credible Crypto said ETH has traded roughly between $1,500 and $5,000 for about five years, forming a large higher-timeframe range, and that a depressed ETH/BTC ratio leaves room to catch up after Bitcoin moved above its 2021 high, with a basic $10,000 target from doubling the prior range high and a path above $12,000–$20,000 if Bitcoin holds near $80,000 to above $126,000 and ETH/BTC recovers toward 0.156. He ties the structure to defending a higher-timeframe low near $1,388 and sees roughly a 90% chance ETH stays above $1,900. Market data at the time showed ETH above $2,400, up about 30% over seven days and more than 32% over 30 days, though still about 50% below its all-time high. Lee has called an ETH market-capitalization overtake of Bitcoin “plausible,” described Bitmine’s pivot from Bitcoin mining toward Ethereum staking, layer-2 and related infrastructure, and previously cited a $10,000 target within one or two years plus longer-term levels of $50,000, $100,000, $200,000 or as high as $250,000 as sources of exceptional shareholder returns.
