Ethereum funding rates on Binance have climbed to approximately 0.01, their highest level since August 2025, as derivatives traders increase leveraged long positions while ETH trades near $2,400. Positive funding means long holders pay fees to short holders, and elevated rates generally signal stronger expectations for further gains. The move follows Ethereum’s August rally, improved risk appetite and renewed flows into ETH spot products. It adds to earlier CoinGlass data showing ETH funding rates at 0.0111% and 0.0123% on Aug. 23, above the 0.01% baseline and more bullish than BTC’s 0.0097% and 0.0091%. However, high funding also raises the cost of leverage and the risk of liquidations if ETH reverses.
