Chainlink announced 12 new protocol integrations across 10 blockchains and six services on August 17. The supported chains are Arbitrum, Avalanche, Base, BOB, Botanix, HyperCore, HyperEVM, Solana, Sonic and World Chain. The protocols include build_on_bob, Chintai Network, ICE Markets and Numa Money. The update covers Chainlink data feeds, which provide smart contracts (self-executing blockchain code) with external price data, and the Cross-Chain Interoperability Protocol, or CCIP, which enables messaging between blockchains. Chainlink has issued batch integration updates throughout 2025, with the latest batch exceeding a previous update of eight integrations across five services and six chains. The network has facilitated transaction value in the tens of trillions cumulatively. Support for newer ecosystems such as BOB and Botanix may signal that core oracle and cross-chain infrastructure is becoming available early in their DeFi development, while continued expansion on Solana and Base reflects demand from established and growing ecosystems. Chainlink faces competition from providers including Pyth Network, particularly on Solana, but its multi-chain coverage may appeal to protocols seeking one oracle provider across several networks. The breadth of services also points to expansion beyond price feeds into verifiable randomness, proof of reserves and automation.
