Spectrum, Charter Communications’ flagship internet and cable brand, said on Aug. 25, 2026, that eligible new and existing customers enrolled in Spectrum Internet Assist can receive Amazon Prime at no additional cost. Internet Assist provides affordable service to low-income customers at speeds of up to 50 Mbps. The benefit, valued at $14.99 per month or $139 per year, is also available to eligible customers across Spectrum’s other internet tiers and is coming soon to qualified legacy Cox customers. Spectrum also announced expanded community investment, although the available information provides no further details. The promotion follows Spectrum’s loss of 172,000 internet customers in the second quarter and a 3.2% year-over-year decline in internet revenue, amid competition from fixed wireless access by T-Mobile and Verizon and AT&T’s fiber expansion. Spectrum’s broader retention strategy includes Invincible Wi-Fi, faster service commitments, mobile and video bundles, a $1,000 annual savings guarantee for customers combining internet with two Spectrum wireless lines, and the $34.5 billion Cox acquisition finalized Aug. 20.
