UK Prime Minister Andy Burnham will visit Ukraine on Monday on his first overseas trip since taking office and announce British support for expanding Kyiv’s domestic production of long-range missiles. He will co-chair the Coalition of the Willing, a group of countries supporting Ukraine, and meet Ukrainian President Volodymyr Zelenskiy. Britain has agreed to let European missile manufacturer MBDA release classified information on British-made components used in the SCALP long-range cruise missile, which shares British and French technology, to help France and Ukraine establish local assembly lines. Burnham said, "Ukraine’s security is our security," and pledged that Britain would stand by Ukraine "for as long as it takes." Russian President Vladimir Putin separately warned the BBC that UK drone factories could face attacks from "unknown sources," following Moscow’s earlier warning of "consequences" over British drone supplies and its opposition to Western military support for Kyiv. Britain has provided more than £25 billion ($34 billion) in military and civilian support since Russia’s full-scale invasion in 2022. A prediction market currently prices a 5.5% chance of Ukraine recapturing Crimean territory by December 31, 2026.
