Upbit will add a South Korean won trading market for Lighter's LIT token, with trading set to begin at 13:00 KST on Aug. 24, 2026. The LIT/KRW pair draws its reference price from the previous BTC-market close of 0.00004500 BTC, equivalent to about 4,803 won, for initial order controls. Buy orders will be blocked for roughly five minutes after the open, and sell orders priced more than 10% below that reference will also be restricted in the same window. Only limit orders will be accepted for about the first two hours, after which market and conditional orders become available. Deposits and withdrawals run solely on Ethereum via contract 0x232ce3bd40fcd6f80f3d55a522d03f25df784ee2; assets sent on other networks may not credit and refunds can take a long time. South Korea's Travel Rule applies to transfers. Lighter runs a decentralized perpetual futures protocol with order-book infrastructure holding assets on layer 1 and executing transactions on layer 2. Staking LIT unlocks Lighter Liquidity Pool participation, with each stake allowing up to 10 USDC of deposits and a three-day unstaking lockup, and can confer transfer, withdrawal, and trading fee advantages at certain levels. The token launched with a 25% community airdrop, 50% for ecosystem programs, and 25% for team and investors under vesting. Upbit warned that processing may lag if liquidity is thin after markets open.
