FactBlock, the organizer of Korea Blockchain Week, announced on Aug. 24 that Ethereum co-founder and Consensys CEO Joseph Lubin will speak at the main conference of KBW2026 with Upbit in Seoul, South Korea. Lubin is expected to address how bringing real-world assets such as U.S. Treasuries onto blockchain networks could reshape global financial markets and the Ethereum ecosystem, as well as the next phase of Web3 and its convergence with traditional finance. The conference is scheduled for Seoul, although exact dates have not been fully disclosed; it is typically held in September. The lineup includes Charles Janssen, head of DeFi transition at S&P Global; Yuval Rooz, CEO of Canton Network operator; Bo Hines, CEO of Tether USA₮; Jeff Yan, co-founder of Hyperliquid; Arthur Hayes, CIO of Maelstrom; Patrick Witt, executive director of the White House President’s Council of Advisers for Digital Assets; Chris Land, executive director of the U.S. Senate Banking Committee’s digital assets subcommittee; and Bermuda Prime Minister David Burt. The focus on tokenized assets, institutional blockchain applications and regulatory policy reflects the industry’s growing effort to connect traditional financial infrastructure with decentralized technologies.
