KT announced its Next IT strategy on the 24th, reorganizing company-wide platforms, infrastructure and work practices around artificial intelligence to improve customer service quality and workplace productivity. The plan has three pillars: Next IT Platform, Next IT Infrastructure and Next IT Work. KT will gradually modernize core systems including ERP, BSS and OSS, apply AI to authentication and payment services, and enhance personalized services on KT.com and My KT. Its infrastructure program centers on Next IPC, a next-generation in-house cloud, alongside multi- and hybrid-cloud architecture, proactive migration of systems at or near end-of-service, and stronger backup and disaster recovery capabilities. Next IT Work introduces AID-X across planning, design, development, testing and operations, extending the existing AIDD framework across the full IT process. KT also plans an integrated AX platform for managing in-house AI agents, broader use-case sharing and capability-building programs across its group affiliates. The company aims to turn IT from a system-operations function into a foundation for service innovation and new AX businesses, supporting execution of its AX Platform Company strategy.
